Coming Out with Epilepsy

https://youtu.be/tXtjbPLmbkk

I never thought this video would see the light of day. In fact, I didn’t believe in myself to speak out about my diagnosis but now I have, I feel much better.

When I received my diagnosis seven months ago, I was just in my early stages of adulthood. College had finished for the Summer, I was on top of the world with my YouTube channel and I had a lot of plans for the future ahead. When I got the news, my life stopped. It was like whirling down a plug hole and I was the water. I could have done things but that put a spanner in the works. 😒

I didn’t know what to do or what to expect. 😞 However, life seems to have taken me into a 50/50 turn. Sure, I have to have limits for the rest of my life but there are other ways to. After uploading my Story Time video, I began to see a positive side of things. This included:

  • Getting my life back on track
  • Finding alternatives to my health, academic and social lives
  • Raising awareness about Epilepsy
  • Finding new dreams

I really want to raise awareness and share my opinion on the matter. And now with help and support from my wonderful friends, I feel that I’m stronger than I was before. 😊

I don’t where the road lies ahead now but I feel like I’m on top of the world once again.

Lastly, I want to say thank you to everyone who for your support and encouragement at this time. I’m so lucky to have amazing friends in my life and I really couldn’t have done it without you. 😊 ✨ 🌟

Life’s a journey but we’ll get there. Just believe and soon we’ll be there. ❤

My name is Sez. I am on the Autistic Spectrum; I was diagnosed when I was two years old. Being Autistic can be tricky; I easily jump into conclusions and miss important skills that are part of my social life. However, my "condition" hasn't stopped me from doing the things I love. I am currently studying Performing Arts at a Drama school in London. I'm a hard worker and a dreamer. Also, I love creative writing and writing lyrics. I'm a keen adventurer and would love to travel the world. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for reading my blog. I hope you enjoy actingmylife. :)

  1. Aww, bless you Sez. I’m glad you blogged this blog about your Epilepsy. However, it is good to be brave by sharing your story like I shared my Autism story with the rest of you. Now you are a very brave young woman who now has Autism and Epilepsy.

I have a few ideas that you can mentioned on your next Autism and Epilepsy video which will be up on your channel as follows:

    • Autism and Epilepsy in females
    • Poem about Epilepsy (I created it on your behalf)
    • You can mention about the sources that I sent you by giving you an idea for a theory between Autism and Epilepsy and MANY MANY MANY MORE. 😊✨🌟

I’m glad to say that you are an amazing, inspirational, and a very special friend to me and the rest of our people who accepts your disability as well as mine. I will begin to do some training course about Epilepsy in terms of medication and knowing steps on how to relieve seizures etc.

Thank you so much for sharing your story time video with us, including myself. Like I said, this video link above is my official no1 favourite at all times as well as your rest.

Keep on believing yourself because I believe in you and I love you from the bottom of my heart.

Lots of hugs and kisses from me,

    Daggie aka Chickenshedmylife ❤️

      1. Good girl Sez. If you like, I can help you go through the words that you’re going to say based on the links that I sent you. Me and you will go through this together, AND we can both do this on your laptop so I can help you with sentencing while you type up the words.

Before we start, please feel free to print the links that I sent you on Monday morning so we’ll highlight the words that you’re going to type.

I can also help you with everything. Because you’re my best friend. 🤗

  2. God Bless You Sez! I’m still wiping up the tears. You are so strong to write that and to fight it in life. It reminds me when I was diagnosed with cancer, I froze in my shoes. I didn’t know what to do. All I did when I was alone was cry. Of course I pretended to be strong for all the hurt I encountered. Family telling me to die. I did make a video about it if you’d like to know more. I don’t want to talk about me when this is about you. I just wanted to share that part because I did somehow find the strength to get through it. I don’t know you except through here but you seem to be a very down to earth person with hidden strength that’s bursting to come out. The strength you are showing is just part of what you have. I wish you nothing but the best and I know you will find a way to gather the strength you need. I’m sending my positive energy and prayers now & always. ❤

    Much Love,
    Brandy (:

    1. Hi Brandy. Don’t feel bad, I would love to see your video. 😊

I’m sorry for the things you had to go through: I’m sending all my love. ❤ You are very brave and very kind hearted. I know a lot of people in my life who have and currently have cancer. It was a shock but they kept on fighting.
With every diagnosis, there is hope and faith. You are not alone and you never will be alone. ❤

      Lots of love,
      Sez x
